Occupation: Real Estate Sales
Marital Status: Married
No. of Children: 3
From Nancy: Moved to California in 1967 and went to UC Santa Cruz where I met my husband. I taught elementary school for 5 years and put my husband through law school. We moved to San Diego in 1976 and had three children, Allison, Melissa, and Andrew. Moved to Rancho Santa Fe just north of San Diego in 1991 and began selling real estate in this area.
I have really enjoyed getting in touch with good friends from Darien that I lost track of over the years. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Marital Status: Divorced
No. of Children: 2
From John: Lynnie forwarded me the link to this site.
It made me feel “old.” Forty years is a long time!
Old?
Old is being married for 32 years and divorced for four.
Old is “retiring” from Wall Street after 25 years and teaching and coaching in a high school for six. (I was at New Canaan for 5 years where the Blue Wave were the “dreaded enemy.” Now I am at Fairfield Warde but NOBODY has EVER been afraid of them!) Teaching is hardly retirement. I work harder than I ever did as a banker or a lawyer.
Old is moving into a condo in South Norwalk (could anyone have imagined 40 years ago that someone would actually want to live in South Norwalk?) and being the oldest one in the building by 20 years. My neighbors are all Gen-Xers working for hedge funds!
Old is having a girlfriend with twin 9-year olds—but I am glad to see that there are classmates with younger kids. How do you do it? I wrote the last tuition checks for my two kids five years ago. You could not get me to Disney World again for anything!
Old is when your students think that Ronald Reagan was Abe Lincoln’s vice-president or when they ask you to play some “Golden Oldies” and they mean something by The Police!
Thank you all for your posts.
John

Occupation: Chef/Caterer
Marital Status: Married
No. of Children: 1
From Ann: It is so much fun reading what everyone is doing and where everyone is living. For myself, I live with my husband of 20 years, Michael, and my 17 year old son, William, in the West Village here in New York City. My husband is an architect and my son is a junior in high school (which means there is no retirement in our future). I have been in the food business for almost thirty years during which I cooked in restaurants (including Windows On The World), was a private chef for Leonard Bernstein, and a corporate chef for BMG/Random House. After 9/11 when BMG downsized I became a full time caterer working out of my kitchen here on Perry Street. It is a great profession except I live on the fourth floor of a walk-up brownstone. If having a kid doesn't keep me young, then truly the stairs will. I look forward to seeing everyone in September.

From Louise: Hi all, Great to stumble on this site, and see some familiar faces, and wish I'd been able to attend some of the reunions. Life in the South is good...and warm! Also friendly and "civil" -- the Southern way and all that. My children have been a big focus of my life. My son Rob, 31, attended Exeter and Harvard and is now with McKinsey, the worldwide consulting firm. Beth, 28, went to Univ. of Penn. and now lives in NYC, as a manager with the Corporate Executive Board, a great think-tank company. My youngest, Carolyn, is 21 and a pre-med senior at NYU. They are all wonderful people...I have been very, very lucky. After college, spent a year as a airline stewardess with United Airlines -- walking across the country in the air being a waitress and thought better of THAT -- so went into business and was heavily involved in young Republican politics, as well as banking. After ERA and post-Nam, came to my senses, and became a Democrat and eventually got into the news business. While reporting is my love, I kept ending up on the management/money side of the biz...bringing in the revenue to buy all that quality journalism! And, eventually owned a community newspaper company in the Boston suburbs, which we sold off in in the late 80's. Did a stint with the Dukakis presidential campaign in 1988 on the North Carolina leadership team -- Susan "Estrogen" Estrich and all (my unsweet nickname for the campaign manager.) The first year of the campaign under John Sasso was amazing, wasn't it? He came out of the convention 27 points ahead of Bush, and then it all went down-the-hill. Still not over it! Moved to Savannah in 1995 to a more religious-based environment for my children, and launched current company in 1998. Married more than once over the past 40 years. Ah...hindsight. A very l-o-n-g story! Everyone's bios are so interesting to read, but that's not at all surprising, as ya'll were all an amazing group of people. It was the Fairfield County version of the Brat-Pack! And, I have so many great memories. Love to hear from anyone. Best regards, Lou

From Sharon: bound for Maine, Aug. 2007. I presently live in Denver, CO. I have lived here for 38 years, but the ocean is calling. Have two great children who always make me laugh. My son, 28 years, just graduated from law school in Boston and my daughter, 23 years, just graduated from the University of New Hampshire. Twin brother, Mark, lives in Boston. I have 3 more important reasons to relocate. Mark Vosburgh, Chuck Conti and Kathy Schumaecker are still good friends. I missed the 30th so am anxious to reconnect and make new friends.

From John: Mike Johnson called out of the blue last night. How sweet that was. And how sweet it would be to gather with friends from my Darien roots come September.
Our nest is emptying. Logan, 23, is in San Francisco, working in a biology lab at UCSF by day and jazz drumming by night. Spencer, 21, is a junior at Trinity, currently soaking up Italian culture on his semester abroad. Taylor, 15, is into business, volleyball, and tolerating his square parents until he, too, flies the coop. Brooke continues as Medical Director at Rochester Institute of Technology, where she's struggling with a job that is too big for any one person as well as the recent death of her father.
I continue to find daily challenges in my psychotherapy work, which for the most part I love doing. I am still able to run and, the past few years, have rediscovered the joys of biking. I'm also on a mini quest to find my voice. Leaving butchered songs on Garry Brown's answering machine has been fun.
So, softball at Hindley?
