It was great to see you all at reunion.  A little behind schedule, as usual, i thought i would add a little here.  After DHS, went to Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT and majored in American Literature and played linebacker on the Panther football team for 4 years.
Worked as a carpenter for a couple of years after Midd, married my college sweetheart, Janet Halstead, who was from Springdale and a year behind me at Middlebury.  Worked for Bank of Boston as a commercial loan officer for 7 years, then ran the treasury function for Thermo Electron for 5 years, a Fortune 500 company.  I then co-founded a a start-up global equity money management firm with a PhD from MIT in 1987  We bounced around for awhile and then cought fire and just went by $80 billion in assets under management, about 350 clients.  Clients are large institutions like MIT, Stanford, CALPRS, Oregon, Virginia, Philips;  UPS, etc. Clients are currently in 22 countries.

We have 3 kids, Chip, 27, Katie 25, and Lindsey 22.  All went to Middlebury and all are out.  Chip married his freshman honey from Middlebury this June.  I am on the board of trustees at Middlebury, and was board chair for five years up until a couple of years ago.

We built a second home 3 miles from campus a couple of years ago.  Come visit!!

I had a great time at the reunion. Bobby, the golf was fabulous.

I was hoping to get to the reunion - but that is impossible.  My husband (of 36 years) and I live in a small town in Virginia, about an hour north of Raleigh/Durham area.  I have been at the local high school as a guidance counselor for a number of years.  Jerry and I have two daughters - one got married this past summer and is living north of Wilmington,NC -  the other is in grad school at the University of Michigan.

I am sure everyone will have a wonderful time at the reunion!!!  I hope someone takes notes and shares the information with those of us who can't attend.

Have a great time!!!

UPDATE – I deleted the long missive and we have news, a new grandson (Cole Goodale) born on Judy’s birthday making four in total all in Dallas. We have repatriated to the US of A and now live in Houston, Texas. It is good to be back home and close to family. The cost is more air travel for me, I just returned from Angola. Judy’s class is threatening a reunion this summer so we may be back in Darien again. The reunion was really special and it was fantastic to see so many friends. Cheers – Jon Goodale

Hi people, Who would think we all would be keeping track of each other on computers. I'm pretty new on this machine even though my ex worked in high tech for years. Now it's my poor daughter who is teaching me. I lived in Mass. for years after graduation in various places. I moved to Cape Cod and stayed for a few years. I was married to a great guy for 23 years, then we decided to part company. He is still my best friend and I see him often and we are on the phone a few times a week. It is a good thing and we get along much better now. I have two daughters. My first is now a doctor and in her 1st year of internship in Cal. My 2nd one is 21 and works for one of the casinos here in Ct. They are both great kids. I have been struggling with a shoulder injury that happened in Feb. 04. After two surgeries it looks like I'll be having a 4th. To keep busy I crochet blankets and have been pretty successful selling them. Best wishes to all. Bette Grant Capasso

Well, HELLO! Pat assures me that, even though I did not graduate with you, I would still be permitted to join you all in a stroll down memory lane. After all, I did go to Baker School, then Tokeneke and finally to Mather thru the 8th grade, before moving to Florida. I found this website totally by accident and could not get over how many names (and FACES!) were familiar to me. I don't know if any of you remember me at all, but I have many vivid memories of my time in Darien. I am planning to attend the Reunion in September----but in the meantime, I have one burning question. Peter Brooks, does your face still turn beet red when you see an egg salad sandwich?

From George:
Still pedaling. After finishing a small college on the banks of the Charles River in Cambridge and having a sufficiently high draft number to give up my deferment, go 1A and not get called,  I thought I was safe from undesirable service, but I thought going to grad. school the safest option -- I went to Princeton majoring in Geology, although by that time I had picked up a wife, Pat changed to Batya.  When that was over I needed to find employment!
I consider myself very lucky to have stumbled into a unique job as Curator of Minerals and Gems at the American Museum of Natural History that provides me with so many opportunities and a life's profession, which I still enjoy -- most of the time. I can chase my own interests while fulfilling the institution's mission of preserving samples from Nature. Perhaps this appears quaint in a world of extraordinary change and challenge, but I feel challenge and change enough in a single career. Some more recognizable benefits are having seen a lot of the world, traveling frequently for my own reasons, and being able to walk to work so I get enough exercise that I can keep my weight under control.  A big thrill and accomplishment was a major exhibition on diamonds that traveled here and abroad (Japan) and is being resuscitated now.  I have been doing field work, on and off,  in Guatemala since '84, looking at odd rocks with an important story and enjoying aspects of Chapino life.
At the 20th reunion, the last for me, my life was in turmoil as Batya had announced her departure.  This  resulted in a divorce 19 years ago, relocation to the Big Apple and remarriage 18 years ago to Carole, my wonderful wife. This life change was a dramatic improvement, although it has taken time to adjust to City Life and City expenses.
Although I keep in touch with Dave Keyes & Steve Buenning and have found Doug Jones, I have lost track of a lot of you, so I look forward to catching up on--gulp--40 years, a jillion miles, and a change in hair quotients.  But needless to say there are some hiding out there who should come in from the cold and reacquaint yourselves.  Whereas the future is what keeps us going, catching up from the past is so much easier and fun now.

I am still in Connecticut, living just outside of Hartford. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. With the exception of two people I saw sometime in the '80's I don't think I have seen anyone from Darien High School since around 1971 or so. I pulled out some old elementary school pictures from Hindley School just now and remembered most of the names. What a long time ago that was. Unfortunately I lost my high school yearbook somewhere along the way.
